Congratulations Team

NAS has completed its fourth season as a team, which has been consistently improving.  We hosted 4 meets this season at Smith College and all were successful, providing good swimming opportunities for our team and other teams.  We also attended many other meets this season, and swimmers participated in each of the NE Championship Meets.  Keep up the great work!

Championship News

We had many qualifiers for the NE Championship Meets; NAS had 23 swimmers attend the Regional Meet, which was in Andover this year.  There were a ton of best times and great swims.  The New England 13-19 Championship Meet was at Harvard early in February and 3 swimmers attended:  Tom Burrow, Amanda Lucia, and Jacob Wingfield; NAS scored points at the meet and Amanda and Jacob qualified for the Sectional Meet there. This is the first time NAS has had Sectional qualifiers and that meet will take place in March in College Park, MD.  New England 12 & Under Championships were held in Attleboro after Regionals.  Swimmers ages 11 & 12 at the meet were Colin Machat, Kaitlin Travers and Miranda Wingfield, and 9/10s were Erin Voss, Andy Yap, and David Yap.  Congratulations swimmers!

Swim Technique Clinic

Swim Technique Clinic will start March 10th and will meet twice per week for four weeks on Mondays and Thursdays and will focus on technique.  Videos will be used for demonstrating skills and swimmers will be recorded under water with our new equipment and will be able to view themselves right after being recorded.  Swim Clinic will end right before the spring/summer season begins.

Spring/Summer Info

Swim Team will start up again April 7th.  NAS will only be hosting a Pentathlon Meet on Friday 5/30 in the evening and a 10 & Under Meet in June, in addition to helping with the Bay State Games Trials Meet at Smith in June.  Hope you will join us!

Thank you . . .

Our swim team couldn't run without the help and support of families, parents, coaches, and swimmers.  Thank you for all the things you do and all the help you give.  It was a tough meet schedule this year with 4 meets, but they were successful and provided good local meets for swimmers, as well as helped cover team expenses, so the fees for swim team can stay reasonable.  Thank you for helping to make our team and our season a great success.

THANK YOU ALL!!
